You just inherited a magic castle. Do you want it?
Your mentor Osric is dead. The castle you inherited, your new home, is enchanted and alive. Staircases shift. Rooms move or vanish. Voices whisper that make you blush and sweat. A wardrobe forever hunts a sofa through the halls with an axe. Your dog has become--you don't really know about the dog. And Osric’s right-hand man and resident swordsman thinks you’re a weakling and a fool.
Outside the castle, in a world sealed off by magic from the 21st century, things may be even stranger. Through the castle forest corses the wild hunt of Celtic legend. Across the fields roam Osric’s three horses; sentient, wilful, and only sometimes willing to be ridden. In the rocky hills dwells Volund, a mysterious blacksmith of amazing skill. And everywhere rove creatures of myth and legend, some of whom want your castle, others who want your head. And Osric’s lawyer is a wizard who tells you not to leave castle grounds for one week-or else-but won’t tell you exactly why. This is the one condition, the one rule for your inheritance.
